Group On

Have y’all heard of Groupon.com ? I hadn’t until a few weeks ago, but I’m now obsessed.

Here’s the skinny: Group On makes deals with all sorts of fabulous businesses and events, and brings you a “Daily Deal” based on your location. Using “collective buying power”, if enough people promise to buy that day’s deal, the deal is on!

Paul and I snagged spots at iFlyHollywood for more than half off—we’re going to do a simulated sky dive free fall (no jumping out of the plane necessary), and I’m ridiculously excited.

Other recent LA deals? $10 two hour classes at the famous improv studio “Upright Citizen’s Brigade”, custom airbrushing at Beverly Hills’ premiere faux tanning studio for $30 (it is LA, after all), half off on circus school, etc.

You can sign up to get the daily deal via email. I’m usually less than impressed with these types of sites (Goldstar, etc.) but Group On has delivered on fun and fabulous things we’ve been dying to do, but haven’t been willing to shell out the bucks usually required.
